Call Of Duty Warzone 2 DMZ Season 2 Patch Notes 

After what feels like a long wait, season two of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has finally arrived, bringing exciting new changes and features to the game, including the highly anticipated new mode, DMZ. For players who crave even more intense action than Warzone 2's battle royale, DMZ offers the ultimate combat arena inspired by the popular game, Escape From Tarkov. In this mode, players drop into the Al Mazrah area and scavenge for gear and loot while fighting off other players. The goal is to make it to the exfil site with your treasures intact, but if you die, you lose all your gear and have to start again from scratch.

With the release of season two, DMZ players will see their inventory reset, meaning all items acquired during season one will be lost. This includes contraband weapons, vault keys, and mission progress, giving players a fresh start and a new challenge.In addition to the new mode, there are also other exciting additions to season two, such as the Exclusion Zone Ashika Island and the new Crown faction. These new features add more content for players to explore and enjoy. With the season two patch notes now available, players can take a deeper dive into all the changes and improvements made to DMZ.

Season 02 Reset

• Faction Mission progress has been reset for Season 02
• Previously unlocked Insured Weapon slots will remain unlocked
• Contraband weapon inventories have been reverted to starting weapons
• Key stashes have been emptied

Mission Refresh

• New missions sets have arrived with Season 02 for all players. These are comprised of new missions, updated missions, and some returning missions.
• New mission sets will send Players to all 3 Exclusion Zones of DMZ.
• The Key Stash can now hold items for missions so Players can transport them across Exclusion Zones to complete objectives.

GAMEPLAY

• Missions
  • Adjusted the overall scaling of difficulty in Missions as the Faction Mission Tiers progress.
• Contracts
  • Secure Intel Contract no longer calls reinforcements to the radio tower.
  • The Attack Helicopter in Cargo Contracts will now react more quickly to the vehicle’s movement while firing, and the Attack Helicopter’s  missiles will more accurately hit the Operator vehicle when moving slowly.
  • The HVTs for “Eliminate HVT contracts” will now drop more rare keys and will sometimes drop stronghold keycards.
• Enemy Tuning
  • Adjusted lethality of AI across Al Mazrah including number of AI spawning, and the accuracy of AI at range.
• Locations
  • Infiltration locations have been updated in Al Mazrah.
  • Dead Drop locations have been updated in Al Mazrah.
  • Exfiltration locations have been updated in Al Mazrah.
  • Boss locations have been updated in Al Mazrah.

Adjustments

• Plating Improvements
  • Global plating animation speed increased by approximately 25%
  • Movement speed increased while plating
  • Players can now sprint while plating
  • Players can now bust through doors while plating
• Ping Visibility
  • Each squad member will have a unique color highlighting their name and pings.
• Interrogation
  • The reveal mechanic has been changed from an orange outline to a red marker to remain consistent with similar mechanics.

BUG FIXES

• Fixed an issue where attempting to pick up an Armor Plate with a full inventory could sometimes cause a crash.

• Fixed an issue where players could duplicate weapons in DMZ

• Fixed an issue where players could get stuck on the infiltration screen.

• Fixed an issue where players couldn't mute their squadmates

• Fixed an issue where two exfil helicopters could collide

• Reduced instances of Players becoming stuck on a “downloading instance inventory” message.

• Fixed an issue that would cause two items to be removed from a backpack when trying to remove only one in the pre-game loadout screen

• Fixed an issue that allowed Players to duplicate Field Upgrades and Killstreaks

• Fixed some issues that caused obstructed or misaligned loot

What Is DMZ?

The new DMZ game mode is an extraction-based mode in which Operators have the freedom to roam around Al Mazrah while defending against enemy Operators and AI soldiers. The mode offers various points of interest and activities that can be explored, along with a diverse range of Contracts, similar to the Battle Royale mode. Although there is no set main objective, players must make their way to an exfil point on the map to complete certain Faction Missions, extract weapons, and cash. By signaling an exfil helicopter to leave the match, players can exit the game with their rewards. Furthermore, players can find keys to unlock specific areas on the map that often contain valuable loot. Players can choose their weapons from their Insured Slot(s) and Contraband Stash, as well as keys from their Key Stash, and Field Upgrades and Grenades for free before starting a match. While better equipment, such as larger backpacks and armor carriers, can be found on the map or purchased from Buy Stations, the best gear is costly, priced at $30k. Additionally, players can come across random vehicles while exploring the map, and fuel and durability can be restored at Gas Stations.
