What happened to Kofi Kingston?
Kofi Kingston, the popular WWE wrestler, will be absent from the upcoming episode of SmackDown due to an injury he sustained. This is a setback for Kofi, as he was slated to compete in a Fatal Five-Way Intercontinental Championship Qualifying Match on Friday's flagship show, which would have given him the chance to compete for a singles championship. Unfortunately, this also means that he will miss the opportunity to face Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 39.
Kofi's New Day teammate, Xavier Woods, has been announced as his replacement for the qualifying match on WWE's official Twitter account. This is a rare opportunity for Xavier to showcase his singles wrestling skills, as he is mostly known for his tag team matches.
Reports suggest that Kofi may be out of action for at least two months due to his injury. The 13-time tag team champion confirmed the news himself by posting a video on social media in which he was seen with bandages on his leg. It remains to be seen when Kofi will be able to return to the ring, but fans are hopeful for his speedy recovery.
