Blumenfeld then cast her in a reality TV show called "There's Something About Miriam," filmed in Ibiza in 2003 and airing in 2004. The show, hosted by Tim Vincent, gained views for its controversial twist where six men competed for Rivera's affection without knowing she was transgender until the final episode.

Despite the legal issues and controversy surrounding the show, Rivera appreciated the attention and recognition it brought her. Following the show's success, she made appearances as a guest on other TV programs, including "Big Brother Australia 2004."
