When is National Brush Day 2023?
National Brush Day is observed on 1st November in US. National Brush Day is a special day that reminds us to take care of our children's teeth. It's about sharing information about brushing, making it enjoyable for kids, and offering advice to keep their teeth strong and healthy.
History of National Brush Day
In the United States, many children have problems with their teeth. Over 16 million kids have untreated tooth decay, and it causes them to miss school. Their parents also miss work because of it. Surprisingly, not even half of the children brush their teeth as often or as long as dental experts say they should.
Children from families with less money have more dental issues, with almost twice as many decayed teeth as other kids. National Brush Day started in 2013 as part of the Kids' Healthy Mouths advertising campaign. This campaign is a partnership between more than 35 dental health organizations and the Ad Council. It aims to give parents simple ways to encourage their kids to brush their teeth for two minutes, twice a day, to prevent severe dental problems.
National Brush Day is held on the day after Halloween to remind parents that teaching their kids good brushing habits is important for their dental health. This will help them grow up as healthy adults.
