Who is Scott Kimball?

The overseeing agent was disciplined, although he claims that others were also responsible for enabling Kimball. Kimball's troubled past includes being a victim of sexual abuse during his teenage years, leading to a suicide attempt and a life of crime. He was skilled in forgery and operated a legitimate business involving organic beef.
However, he primarily enriched himself by writing bad checks on other people's accounts and using forged documents. By 2003, he had faced criminal charges in four Western states. These white-collar crimes also aided his murders, as he could create evidence to suggest that his victims were still alive even after he had killed them. Additionally, Kimball would exploit their bank accounts and credit cards to further his fraudulent schemes after their deaths.
Notably, two of Kimball's victims were individuals close to him: his third wife's daughter and his own uncle. His second wife, with whom he had two sons, alleges that he kidnapped and raped her on two occasions.
At the time the FBI hired him as an informant, there was an active arrest warrant for the second assault, which occurred after Kimball had absconded from work release. Some family members and investigators believe that a 2004 car accident, which severely injured his eldest son, was an attempt to kill the child for insurance money. However, conflicting jurisdictional issues prevented charges from being filed in relation to the incident.

Jennifer Marcum was a 26-year-old woman who disappeared on February 17, 2003, from her apartment in Lakewood, Colorado. She was last seen leaving her apartment with Scott Kimball, a man she had been dating for several months. Kimball is a convicted serial killer who is currently serving a 70-year sentence in prison for the murders of four people, including Marcum.
Marcum's body has never been found, but Kimball has confessed to killing her. He told investigators that he strangled her to death after she refused to help him kill witnesses who were testifying against his drug trafficking partner, Kenneth Lee Ennis.
