The Diricawl has a den located relatively close to Hogwarts Castle, but the den is concealed by a quest symbol, making it easy to overlook. The den can be found to the south, near Keenbridge. If you use the Keenbridge Floo Flame, you can travel northwest to reach the hillside, where you'll discover a Merlin Trial, the Diricawl's den, and an Ancient Magic Hotspot. Upon your arrival, you'll notice a few dodo bird-like creatures wandering around a patch of land. However, be cautious since an ambush by Inferius may occur. Once you have dealt with them, you can start attempting to capture the birds, but they may prove to be more challenging than you anticipate.

However, players must be cautious of nearby Inferni that may spawn, and it is recommended to have a fire spell equipped to deal with them quickly.
Since Diricawls can quickly disappear, the best way to capture one is to use Leviosa to hold them in place or use Arresto Momentum or Glacius to immobilize them temporarily. Once slowed or stopped, players can use the Nab-Sack given by Deek to capture a Diricawl and complete the assigned beast task from Professor Howin. The only remaining task is to locate a Giant Purple Toad to obtain the Bombarda spell
