What is NPC in Fortnite?
In Fortnite, NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) are special characters found across the map that offer different services to players. These characters can't be controlled by players but can be interacted with to buy items, get help in battles, or recruit them to join your team. Some NPCs sell weapons, healing items like shields or medkits, while others can be hired to fight alongside you, offering unique abilities or scanning areas for enemies and chests. They're like helpful allies or shopkeepers you can find around the game's world, providing various services to aid players during matches.

Fortnite
Fortnite is a popular online video game created by Epic Games and launched in 2017. It comes in three versions, but they all share similar gameplay and the same game engine. The first version is Fortnite Battle Royale, a free game where up to 100 players fight until only one is left standing. Then there's Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative game where up to four players defend against zombie-like creatures using traps and fortifications they build. Lastly, there's Fortnite Creative, which lets players create their own worlds and battle arenas.
While Save the World and Creative have been successful, Fortnite Battle Royale became incredibly popular, with over 125 million players in less than a year and making hundreds of millions of dollars each month. As of December 2019, Fortnite had generated $9 billion in revenue. You can play Save the World on macOS, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. Battle Royale and Creative are available on those platforms, as well as Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, and the ninth-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Fortnite Gameplay
Fortnite offers a variety of gameplay experiences across different modes. In "Save the World," players team up to tackle missions after a strange storm wipes out most of the population, facing zombie-like creatures called "husks." The goal is to collect resources, save survivors, and defend against storms. Players can level up characters and gear by earning in-game items through missions.
In "Battle Royale," up to 100 players compete to be the last one standing. They parachute onto the map, scavenge for weapons and resources, and navigate a shrinking play area. The last player or team alive wins. Creative mode lets players unleash their creativity by building their worlds, from battle arenas to race courses. Whether cooperating in Save the World, battling in Battle Royale, or building in Creative, Fortnite encourages players to be inventive and strategic in their gameplay.
