Which MAFS 2023 Couples Are Still Together?

Despite its promise of drama, entertainment, and scandal, Married At First Sight Australia fails to deliver lasting love stories. Although a few couples have found happiness and stayed together after the show, for the majority of contestants, their relationships begin and end with the MAFS experiment.

As of Season 8, only 5 out of 72 matches had stayed together after the series, and Season 9 did not produce any epic long-lasting romances either.

Ollie & Tahnee: Still Together

Tahnee, aged 27, and Ollie, aged 26, decided to participate in the Married At First Sight Experiment as they had not found true love despite trying to make a connection in the real world without relying on dating apps and technology.

Fortunately, the experiment worked out well for them. According to the experts, the following weeks would reveal how a younger generation would handle the challenge. So far, it seems like smooth sailing for the couple.

They have been vocal about their successful relationship and appeared at Nova's Dinner Party looking very much in love. At the final vow ceremony, the couple declared that they were falling in love with each other.

During the season finale, they announced that Ollie would move to Sydney to live closer to Tahnee. Since the show ended, the couple has continued to post cute photos together, looking every bit in love. Only time will tell if Gen-Z love can conquer all.

Melinda & Layton: Still Together

Despite an awkward wedding filled with miscommunication and an uncomfortable first night together, Melinda and Layton ended up surprising audiences by becoming one of the stronger pairs of their Married At First Sight season.

While they faced some communication issues and meddling from other contestants, the couple managed to make their relationship work and even chose to stay together during the final vows ceremony. Since the finale aired, the couple has continued to show their love for each other on social media, indicating that their relationship is still going strong.

Which MAFS 2023 Couples Are Not Still Together?

Here is the  MAFS 2023 Couples Are Not Still Together.

Lyndall & Cameron: Not Together

Lyndall and Cam's connection was apparent from the very first episode of Married at First Sight. Their wedding day was filled with romantic moments, and the couple quickly hit it off. Cam, a carpenter from Darwin with no relationship experience, was paired with Lyndall, an accountant from Perth who has a new lease on life thanks to a new medicine that has improved her cystic fibrosis prognosis.

However, their relationship hit a snag by the third commitment ceremony. Cam's reluctance to hug Lyndall during a difficult moment caused a rift between the couple. Despite efforts to work on their issues, Cam's lack of affection and his remote work continued to create problems in their relationship.

During the home-visit week, Lyndall hoped to see Cam in his element, but the couple's visit to the Northern Territory only highlighted their disagreement over public displays of affection. In the final vows, Cam shockingly stated that he didn't believe Lyndall would fit into his life and that he didn't miss her.

Lyndall, too, decided that their relationship couldn't move forward, bluntly telling Cam to "stay in your lane" before he stormed off.

Bronte & Harrison: Not Together

Bronte and Harrison's relationship in Married, At First Sight, was far from smooth sailing, with many dramatic ups and downs. Fans eagerly watched to see if the couple would make it to the end of the season, but it wasn't meant to be as the two ultimately left the experiment for good.

During a dinner party with Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie, Harrison spilled some major tea about their relationship. When asked when he last spoke to Bronte, he revealed that he texted her after the endometriosis episode aired, but she didn't reply.

The two have since only communicated through their lawyers. In a surprising turn of events, Harrison has gone public with his new girlfriend, moving on from his tumultuous relationship with Bronte.

Sandy & Dan: Not Together

Sandy and Dan may not have had the strongest initial spark, but they seemed to be comfortable in each other's presence on their wedding day. However, the couple faced some challenges during the experiment.

At the third commitment ceremony, Dan admitted that he wasn't sexually attracted to Sandy. Despite this, they decided to give their relationship another chance for another week. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when the "butt-dial scandal" occurred, and the couple ultimately chose to leave the experiment.

During the final episode, Sandy accused Dan of not having the right intentions when he came on the show. Dan disagreed, but he spent most of the episode defending himself and denying any involvement in the butt-dial incident, claiming he couldn't remember the details.

Claire & Jesse: Not Together

Claire and Jesse's relationship had been on the rocks ever since the cheating scandal involving Claire and Adam. However, it seemed that they were making progress in rebuilding their connection.

Unfortunately, Harrison's attempt to deflect attention away from his own drama during a dinner party proved to be the final straw for Jesse and Claire's already fragile relationship. Harrison insinuated that Claire was only on the show to improve her public image rather than genuinely pursue a relationship, and this planted a seed of doubt in Jesse's mind. Eventually, the couple decided to leave the experiment for good.

Janelle & Adam: Not Together

Janelle, a full-time content creator, had a clear idea of the kind of person she wanted to marry - a financially stable, career-oriented man. In comes Adam, an entrepreneur in the crypto world who also dreams of starting a podcast. A perfect match? Not quite, given the tension on their wedding day.

Money was a touchy subject between the couple, and Adam's personal vows didn't help matters. "I haven't led a perfect life, I've made mistakes, and I've lost myself along the way, but all those experiences have taught me lessons and shaped me into who I am today," he said emotionally.

While this may sound endearing, it raised some red flags for Janelle's protective brothers, who delved into Adam's past and discovered that he cheated in a prior relationship. After Adam had a cheating scandal of his own on MAFS, the damage was done, and both Janelle and Adam decided to leave during the third commitment ceremony.

Caitlin & Shannon: Not Together

Caitlin and Shannon hit it off at their wedding, but drama ensued during confession week when Shannon made hurtful comments about Caitlin's appearance and spoke to his ex-fiancee. He later exhibited bad behavior during intimacy week. Though he chose to stay, Caitlin left the experiment.

Duncan & Alyssa: Not Together

Alyssa and Duncan's wedding was picture-perfect and they seemed like the perfect match. However, as the season progressed, they faced issues they couldn't overcome. Duncan decided to end things during the final vows, leaving Alyssa heartbroken. After confronting him at the reunion dinner, Alyssa regretted not seeing the signs earlier and wished she hadn't hurt him.

Melissa & Josh: Not Together

Melissa and Josh were the first couples to leave the show after experts learned shocking details of their relationship during the second commitment ceremony. John gave Josh the option to leave the experiment, which he took due to the severity of the situation.

Tayla & Hugo: Not Together

Tayla and Hugo's relationship got off to a rough start on MAFS, with Tayla calling Hugo not her type and being cold towards him. They left the show after a series of conflicts. Tayla was later involved in the breakup of another couple, Cam and Jules.

Evelyn & Rupert: Not Together

Evelyn and Rupert's relationship didn't blossom after their awkward wedding and honeymoon. The absence of Rupert from Evelyn's viewing party confirmed their separation. They ended things amicably after the final vows, but it was no surprise to fans as they never seemed to have a strong connection.
