DeMarco Morgan is currently an anchor at ABC News, where he works as a broadcast journalist. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1997 and completed an internship at KOTV during that time.

In 2001, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Jackson State University in Mississippi. Morgan went on to earn his Master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2002.

Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan have been announced as the official co-anchors of the news and lifestyle hour show that airs in the early afternoon, which is considered an extension of the highly successful "Good Morning America" flagship program by Disney network.

They will be joined by Dr. Jen Ashton on the show. In the meantime, Gio Benitez has been assigned to the weekend team of "GMA." The president of the division, Kim Godwin, informed ABC News staff of the decision on Thursday morning. Pilgrim and Morgan will take over from Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, who had to part ways with Disney's ABC due to their romantic involvement behind the scenes.

DeMarco Morgan is a broadcast journalist from the United States and is currently serving as an anchor at ABC News. He began his journalism career while pursuing his Master's degree at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where he covered the September 11 attacks.

He also taught journalism at Jackson State University for two years and English at Milwaukee Area Technical College. After completing his degree, Morgan began his reporting career at WJTV, a CBS affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi.

He then worked at ABC affiliate WISN in Milwaukee for three years as a co-anchor alongside Portia Young. In 2007, he moved to WTVJ, an NBC station in Miami, as an anchor and reporter. He later worked at WNBC in New York as a weekend anchor and cut-in anchor for MSNBC.

Morgan joined Atlanta's NBC affiliate, WXIA, in January 2012, where he co-anchored the 6 P.M. newscast and reported for the 11 P.M. nightly broadcast. He also taught journalism classes at Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University.

In October 2015, Morgan moved to CBS News as a correspondent. He later joined CBS station KCBS in Los Angeles in May 2019 as the weekday morning anchor for the 4:30-7:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. newscasts, alongside Suzanne Marques.
