Ziva David is a fictional character from the series NCIS. She was a former Israeli Mossad officer in the series. She was born to Eli David and Rivka David on November 12, 1982, in Beer Sheva, Israel. She had a half-brother named Ari Haswari and a sister named Tali David. She appeared as a special agent in NCIS from season 7 to season 11. Look, I love this character! I worked for eight years crafting [Ziva] and when I felt like the character wasn't being treated with the respect she deserved .... They were going to send [Ziva] back to Israel and make her an unfortunate, miserable woman." She explained that she felt like the storyline of the series NCIS was not respectful to Ziva.

It was shown in the 23rd episode of the 13th season that the farmhouse where Ziva was supposed to reside was bombed. In the following episode, Tony went to Israel and confirmed that she was killed in that attack. It was also revealed that she had a daughter named Tali. But Ziva was not dead. It was revealed in the seventeenth season that she survived the attack and went undercover to find who was responsible for that attack. After eliminating her threats, she leaves for Paris to reunite with her family in the 11th episode.
