Stephen Colbert has recently disclosed in an interview with Vanity Fair that he has been diagnosed with a medical condition called benign positional vertigo. This common form of vertigo can cause dizziness, nausea, and loss of balance when the head is positioned incorrectly, leading to mild spinning sensations.
Stephen revealed that he often forgets about the condition until it suddenly affects him. He joked that it can be entertaining until he forgets and falls down when he tries to stand up.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this disease, but the symptoms can be mitigated with proper treatment. Stephen's wife, Evelyn McGee-Colbert, has been supportive in reminding him to do his prescribed vertigo exercises and has played an essential role in producing The Late Show during the pandemic.

Stephen Tyrone Colbert is a multi-talented American personality known for his work as a comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and television host. He was born on May 13, 1964.
Initially, Colbert aspired to be a dramatic actor but later developed an interest in improvisational theater while studying at Northwestern University, where he met Del Close, the director of Second City. Colbert's career took off as an understudy for Steve Carell at Second City Chicago.
