The story is set in Hyderabad and begins with Murtasim Shahnawaz Khan, the head of the village, inspecting the crops in the fields. She asks Anwar to accompany Murtasim to Karachi and convince Waqas that she has the final say in family decisions, after Murtasim himself.
On Meerab's birthday, her friends Saba and Rohail organize a party. Rohail plans to propose to Meerab romantically during the celebration. During the journey to Karachi with Anwar, Murtasim stops his car to investigate a commotion and witnesses Meerab confronting a man who she claims is abusive towards his wife and servant. Angered by what he perceives as Meerab tarnishing the family's reputation, Murtasim forcefully takes her away from the scene.
Meerab tries to convince her father that she is not at fault and criticizes Murtasim and Anwar for their unnecessary involvement in their lives. However, Waqas refuses to listen, leaving Meerab upset. Anwar warns Waqas that he won't tolerate any disrespect towards their family's honor.
