Goodfellas Plot

The story begins in 1955, with a young guy named Henry Hill fascinated by the Mafia life in his Brooklyn neighborhood. He starts working for local mob boss Paulie Cicero, alongside Jimmy "the Gent" Conway, a gangster, and Tommy DeVito, a troublemaker like himself. Henry starts with small crimes for Jimmy and works his way up.

In the 1960s, the trio spends their nights at the Copacabana nightclub, enjoying a glamorous lifestyle. Henry falls for Karen, a Jewish woman troubled by his criminal activities but marries him anyway. In 1970, they brutally murder Billy Batts, a made man, leading to unexpected consequences. Six months later, they relocate the body due to a development project.

In 1970, Tommy kills Spider, leading to tension. Karen discovers Henry's affair, threatening him. Later, they are arrested, and Henry supports his family by smuggling drugs in prison. Released in 1978, Henry expands his drug business with Jimmy and Tommy, but things turn grim. Jimmy orchestrates a heist, but greed and police interference lead to brutal consequences.

In 1979, Tommy is murdered, and by 1980, Henry's life spirals. Arrested for drug dealing, he learns Karen destroyed their stash. Facing financial ruin and suspecting danger, Henry decides to become an informant. He testifies against Paulie and Jimmy, entering witness protection and leaving his once thrilling gangster life for an ordinary one, lamenting his fate as an average "schnook."
