Ruby Sanctum Raid in WoW Classic: A Step-by-Step Guide

The Ruby Sanctum raid is an exciting challenge introduced in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion of WoW Classic. This raid takes place beneath the Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight and is set to launch on January 11, available in both 10 and 25-player versions.

Bosses:

• Saviana Ragefire:

  • During the fight, Saviana will lift players and drop them, causing damage. Healers need to heal those affected while others use abilities to reduce incoming damage.
  • Watch out for his enrage, where a Hunter’s Tranquilizing Shot can stop him.
  • When he casts Nova, raid members should spread out to avoid the damage.

• Baltharus the Warborn:

  • Baltharus summons mirror images that the off-tank must handle while the rest of the raid takes them down quickly.
• General Zarithrian:
  • The boss casts Fear on raid members, requiring abilities like tremor totem or fear ward to counter it.
  • Adds summoned by Zarithrian use AoE attacks, so interrupt them swiftly.

• Halion:

  • Phase 1:

    • Halion creates a fiery barrier around him.
    • Meteor Strike: Fireballs drop from the sky, leaving damaging areas on the ground. Players should avoid these.
    • Mark of Combustion: Players with this debuff need to move away from others; dispel it away from the group.

  • Phase 2 (75% health):

    • A portal appears, taking the raid to the twilight realm.
    • Similar to Phase 1, players encounter Mark of Consumption, dispelling it away from the group.
    • Watch out for two Shadow Orbs circling the arena; maintain distance to avoid being hit by their beams.

  • Phase 3 (50% health):

    • A new portal opens, and Halion appears in both physical and twilight realms.
    • Split into two groups and damage both bosses equally.
    • Players in different realms face mechanics from earlier phases.

Rewards:

• For 10-player Normal/Heroic: Various items like necklaces, rings, boots, and armor specific to this mode.

In Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft got bigger. Players could now reach level 80, and a special class, the Death Knight, started at level 55. These knights, risen by the Lich King, could fight as tanks or damage dealers in different ways: blood, frost, or unholy. They had cool abilities and used runes instead of mana for combat. The expansion also brought Northrend, an icy land with eight zones, ready for level 68 players. Alliance and Horde came for revenge on the Lich King, facing new enemies like dragons and spirit beasts. It was a big story too, with alliances seeking justice while Sylvanas had her own plans. The icy adventure ended with a showdown against Arthas, the Lich King.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Plot 

In Wrath of the Lich King, trouble stirs after the Sunwell's purification. The bad guys, known as the Scourge, attack everywhere in Azeroth. Both the Horde and Alliance send big armies to Northrend, led by important folks like Warchief Thrall and King Varian Wrynn.

But things get messy. At the Wrathgate, some Forsaken guys do a bad thing with a deadly plague, making everyone distrust each other. King Varian gets even more mad at the Horde.  The fight goes to places like Naxxramas and against a crazy dragon named Malygos. People also find out about a dark place called Ulduar and a really bad guy named Yogg-Saron.

Before the final showdown with the big bad Lich King, there's a big tournament to pick champions. And in the end, after a huge battle where lots of folks die, the Lich King gets defeated. But then, a guy named Bolvar takes over to keep the bad guys, the Scourge, locked up in Northrend.
