  • Shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. in Hindi
  • Typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in Hindi
  • CCC certificate issued by NIELIT (DOEACC Society)
  • Typing speed of 25/30 w.p.m. for Hindi/English Typewriting on computer

Qualifications for English Stenographers:

  • Graduation with a Diploma or Certificate in Stenography
  • Shorthand speed of 100 w.p.m. in English
  • Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English
  • CCC certificate issued by NIELIT (DOEACC Society)
  • Typing speed of 25/30 w.p.m. for Hindi/English Typewriting on computer

Age Limit

A candidate applying for the Direct Recruitment of Stenographer Grade-III must be at least 18 years old and no older than 40 years as of July 1, 2024. Specifically, candidates should have been born on or after July 2, 1984, and on or before July 1, 2006.

  • General (UR) / OBC: Rs. 950/-
  • EWS of U.P.: Rs. 850/-
  • SC & ST of U.P.: Rs. 750/-

Selection Procedure

Stage I: Written Examination

  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Number of Questions: 100

Stage II (Part A): Hindi and English Type Test on Computer

  • Typing Speed: 25 w.p.m. for Hindi
  • Typing Speed: 30 w.p.m. for English

Stage II (Part B): Hindi/English Stenography Test

  • For Hindi Stenographers: 80 w.p.m. in shorthand (Hindi)
  • For English Stenographers: 100 w.p.m. in shorthand (English)

Application Procedure

  • Candidates must apply for the Stenographer Grade-III position through online mode only; applications submitted in any other manner will not be accepted.
  • Each candidate is allowed to submit only one application for the Stenographer Grade-III post.
  • Candidates applying for both Stenographer Grade-III (Hindi) and Stenographer Grade-III (English) should select “Both” on the online application form and pay the fees for both posts (double the prescribed fee).
  • If a candidate submits multiple application forms for the same post, only the last submitted application with the requisite fee will be considered.
