ARI Pune is looking for someone to fill a temporary job of  ‘Research Associate-I’ (1 No.) under “DBT Sponsored Project (SP-351) in the Developmental Biology Group of this Institute. This job is part of a project sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and is in the Developmental Biology Group at the institute.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you need either a PhD/MD/MS/MDS degree, or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you can have three years of experience in research, teaching, and design and development after completing  MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech, along with at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.

If you have finished your thesis and are waiting for your viva, you will be considered for the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) role. It's also desirable to have experience working with model organisms and be familiar with molecular, genetic, and imaging techniques. Good analytical and communication skills are also a plus.

Age Limit

Candidates up to 35 years of age are eligible to apply for the position. However, there are relaxations in the age limit for certain categories:

  • OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates can have up to 3 years of relaxation, while
  • SC/ST/Divyang/Women candidates can have up to 5 years of relaxation.

  • Having the essential qualifications doesn't guarantee an interview. The Institute reserves the right to select candidates. Desirable qualifications may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
