Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024

Bank of Maharashtra is inviting applications for the position of Customer Service Associate (Clerk) under its 2024 recruitment drive. Interested female sportspersons can submit their applications offline from June 20, 2024, until July 8, 2024.

The recruitment aims to encourage the active participation of female athletes in inter-bank, state, national, and international tournaments.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • The minimum requirement is a 10th Pass or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
  • Candidates must commit to acquiring a Graduation Degree or equivalent qualification within 5 years of the end of their active sports phase.

Sports Qualification

  • Applicants should have represented a state or the country in National or International competitions.
  • Alternatively, they should have won medals in the Junior National Championships or Khelo India Youth Games (above 18 years), among other recognized events.
  • Participation in district-level, university-level, or school-level competitions also qualifies.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age as of the specified cut-off date.

Nationality and Citizenship

  • Applicants must be citizens of India or:

    • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently.
    • A person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Probation Period & Bond Details

Probation Period:

Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of 6 months from the date of joining the bank.

Service Bond:

Candidates must submit a service bond committing to 10 years of active sports participation with the bank. The bond may be extended at the discretion of the bank. If a candidate resigns before the bond period expires, they are liable to pay a bond amount of Rs. 50,000 and may forfeit recruitment benefits.

Selection Process

Phase 1: Proficiency Test

  • A preliminary screening of applications will be conducted based on candidates' proficiency in their respective sports disciplines.
  • Proficiency will be assessed based on participation and achievements in recognized tournaments and events over the preceding three years.
  • Weightage will be assigned based on the level of tournaments participated in, such as international, national, state, and university levels.

Phase 2: Field Trials

  • Candidates shortlisted from the proficiency test will undergo field trials to further evaluate their skills and abilities in their respective sports.
  • The field trials will carry equal weight as the proficiency test in the final selection process.
  • Candidates must secure a minimum qualifying score in the field trials to be considered for final selection.

Final Selection

  • The final selection will be based on the combined scores from the proficiency test and field trials.
  • In case of tie scores, preference will be given based on specific criteria, including international representation, national championships, and other sporting achievements.
  • Selected candidates will undergo mandatory doping tests as part of the final selection process.
