Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is recruiting for three key positions: Executive Director, Chief Engineer, and Deputy Chief Engineer. Candidates must have a BE/B.Tech in relevant engineering fields and significant experience in Group ‘A’ executive service related to Railways, PSUs, or major urban transport projects.

The application deadline is October 16, 2024, for online submissions, and by post by October 22, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview focusing on post-qualification experience. Applications should be sent to the General Manager (HR) at BMRCL, Bengaluru.
Qualification
Position: Executive Director/Chief Engineer (Electrical)
- Education: BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
- Experience: Minimum 22 years in Group ‘A’ executive service in Railways, PSUs, or major rail-based urban transport projects (e.g., Metro Rail Corporations/RRTS).
- Senior Experience: At least 5 years at senior/HoD level in projects involving power transmission, traction systems, railway electrification, and SCADA.
- Skills: Planning, tendering, bid evaluation, execution, testing & commissioning, post-contract monitoring.
- Preference: Candidates with Railway/Metro Rail System experience.
Position: Executive Director/Chief Engineer (Mechanical/Electronics)
- Education: BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 22 years in Group ‘A’ executive service in Railways, PSUs, or major rail-based urban transport projects.
- Senior Experience: At least 5 years at senior/HoD level in planning, tendering, execution, and commissioning of rolling stock or signalling & telecommunication components.
- Skills: Planning, tendering, bid evaluation, execution, testing & commissioning, post-contract monitoring.
- Preference: Candidates with Railway/Metro Rail System experience.

Position: Deputy Chief Engineer (Procurement)
- Education: BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 20 years in Group ‘A’ executive service in Railways, Railway PSUs, or major rail-based urban transport projects.
- Senior Experience: At least 5 years in handling large-value procurement tenders, preferably for rolling stock through international competitive bidding.
- Skills: Rolling stock design, preparation of technical specifications, design reviews, and associated interfaces.
- Preference: Candidates with experience in procurement of rolling stock in Metro Rail projects.
Pay Scale
- Executive Director: ₹2,81,250/-
- Chief Engineer: ₹2,06,250/-
- Deputy Chief Engineer: ₹1,40,000/-
Selection Process
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Only post-qualification experience will be considered; possessing the minimum experience does not guarantee an interview or selection.
- Canvassing by candidates or any attempts to influence the selection process through political or outside pressure will lead to disqualification.
- Selection will occur through an interview conducted by a committee established by the competent authority.
