Under the Health Department, Bihar, online applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible Indian candidates for appointment to a total of 1339 (thirteen hundred thirty nine) vacant posts of Assistant Professor under 23 departments (specialties) in the medical colleges and hospitals of the state. These qualifications outline the degrees and specialties one can pursue within the medical field, each requiring specific training and expertise in their respective areas.

Pay Scale and Age Limit

Pay scale: Unrevised pay scale Rs 15,600-39,100/-. grade pay. - Rs 6600/- And pay level-11 in the seventh revised pay structure

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit as on 01.08.2023 is 45 years for Unreserved Category, 48 years for Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (Male and Female), 48 years for Unreserved Female, Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Male Age limit is 50 years for male and female and 50 years for doctor working in Bihar State Health Service cadre.
• The age of old age retirement is 67 years.

Application Fee

The position of Assistant Professor under State Medical College & Hospitals of Bihar:

• General Male Candidates: Rs. 100
• Female Candidates: Rs. 25
• Male Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD categories: Rs. 25

Payment can be made using debit cards, credit cards, or any provided payment gateway. This fee structure ensures that female candidates and male candidates from SC, ST, and PWD categories benefit from a reduced application fee compared to general male candidates.

• Starting date of online application: 25.06.2024
• Last date for filling online application: 26.07.2024
• Candidates are not required to send hard copies of the application form and related documents to the Commission office.
• If the application or any supplementary documents are submitted in hard copy by the candidate himself, then that hard copy application/ documents and any claim made on its basis will not be admissible.
