Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a degree (graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Test of Local Language:

Candidates who provide a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate showing that they studied the specified local language will not need to take the local language test. For those who do not meet this requirement, a local language knowledge test will be part of the selection process. This test will be conducted during the Document Verification stage by the Bank. Candidates who do not pass this test will not be eligible for engagement as apprentices.

Monthly Salary

Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 (including any applicable subsidy from the Government of India) during the apprenticeship period. Please note that apprentices are not eligible for any additional allowances or benefits. Canara Bank will directly deposit ₹10,500 into the apprentices' accounts each month.

The government's share of the stipend, amounting to ₹4,500, will be credited directly to the apprentices' bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, in accordance with current guidelines.

Age Limit

The age requirement for candidates is a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years as of the eligibility date. Candidates must have been born on or after September 1, 1996, and on or before September 1, 2004 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Process

  • Candidates must register on the Canara Bank website under the Careers section for the Graduate Apprentice position for FY 2024-25.
  • A merit list will be created state-wise based on the marks or percentage obtained in the 12th Std (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination. In the event of a tie in percentages, candidates will be ranked by age in descending order.
  • Those with CGPA/OGPA must convert it to a percentage and provide a certificate from the relevant authority. The percentage is calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the maximum aggregate marks and multiplying by 100.
  • The merit list will rely solely on the information submitted in the online application.
  • Any discrepancies found during Document Verification will result in disqualification. Document collection and local language tests will take place during this verification.
  • Final selection will depend on the verification of eligibility and the information provided, successful completion of the local language test for the chosen state, and meeting the medical fitness requirements as per the Bank's standards.

  • Candidates must register on the apprenticeship portal at www.nats.education.gov.in before applying for the apprenticeship positions in the Bank.
  • After registration, an enrollment number will be generated, which candidates should keep for future reference.
  • Only candidates with a 100% complete profile on the Apprenticeship portal are eligible to apply for apprenticeships at the Bank.
  • The online application period is from September 21, 2024, to October 4, 2024. Applications can be submitted through the link provided on the Bank’s website, www.canarabank.com.
  • When applying for training seats, candidates must mention their enrollment ID generated after registering on the NATS portal.

Important Dates

Candidates must register on the Apprenticeship portal at www.nats.education.gov.in before applying for the apprenticeship positions in the Bank. Only those with a 100% complete profile on the Apprenticeship portal are eligible to apply, starting from September 18, 2024, if they have not registered earlier.

The online registration period on the Bank's website is from September 21, 2024, to October 4, 2024, inclusive of both dates.
