Central Bank of India Recruitment 2024

Central Bank of India, a major public sector bank with over 4,400 branches across India and a total business of over Rs 6,30,000 crores, has a workforce of more than 31,000 employees. The bank is inviting retired officers from the Central Bank of India to apply for positions as advisors on a contract basis for the 2024-25 financial year. These positions are available in the Regional Offices, Zonal Offices, and various departments in the Central Office, in job scales I, II, III, and IV.

Eligibility Criteria

Here are the eligibility criteria and details for retired officers applying to be advisors at the Central Bank of India:

  • Must have retired at 60 years old from the bank on or before May 1, 2024.
  • Must have a good track record with no major penalties in the last five years and no minor penalties in the last three years before retirement.
  • Must not have been on the Officer in Doubtful Integrity (ODI) list in the last five years before retirement and must have a clean criminal record.
  • Officers who voluntarily retired, resigned, were suspended, dismissed, or terminated before reaching the retirement age are not eligible.
  • Must be in good health.
  • Must be under 63 years old as of May 1, 2024.
  • Will be considered for positions in the same scale they were in at the time of retirement.

Selection Process

Eligible shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview, and the Bank's decision will be final. The roles and responsibilities will be defined by the respective department and communicated in the engagement letter to the selected candidates. Periodic performance evaluations will be conducted and considered for contract renewals if needed. The General Manager of the respective department will be the authority for performance evaluations.

Remuneration/Other Allowances

The fixed monthly pay for the engaged retirees, regardless of their scale, will depend on the location category as follows:

Metro Rs 45,000/-

How to Apply?

The last date to submit applications is May 31, 2024. No applications will be accepted after this date. Incomplete applications will be rejected. The application form is attached to this notification.

The application should be labeled as: "Application for Empanelment of Retired Officers of Central Bank of India for engagement as an advisor in Regional Offices, Zonal Offices, and various departments in Central Office in Scale I, II, III & IV at Central Bank of India on Contractual Basis."
