Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) responsible for implementing the Metro Rail Project in Chennai. Qualification
Education: Must hold a B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a government-recognized university/institute approved by AICTE/UGC. An M.E/M.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 17 years of post-qualification experience in executing large infrastructure projects, including major bridge constructions related to highways, railways, and metro rail projects.

Salary
Rs. 1,60,000 per month. Higher remuneration or a higher position may be offered based on past experience, interview performance, advanced qualifications, exceptional credentials, and expertise in the relevant field. Salary is negotiable for deserving candidates.
Age Limit
Maximum Age: 47 years. The age, qualification, and experience requirements for the above post are as of September 18, 2024. Age relaxation will be considered for deserving and experienced candidates.
Application Fee
Unreserved candidates and those from other categories are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹300, while SC/ST candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹50 (for processing charges). Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of a two-stage methodology: an interview followed by a medical examination. Candidates will be evaluated on various aspects, including knowledge, skills, comprehension, attitude, aptitude, and physical fitness.
Medical Examination:
CMRL will cover the costs of the initial medical examination for candidates. However, if a candidate requests an extension for joining, the expense for any subsequent medical examination will be the candidate's responsibility. Travel expenses for the medical test will also be borne by the candidate.
Candidates who do not pass the prescribed medical test will not be offered alternative employment, and CMRL's decision on this matter will be final.
