CSIR NET Application Form 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR NET application form 2024. Aspiring candidates can access the application link from May 1st onwards. The deadline for submitting the filled application form is May 21st, 2024. Candidates must register within this timeframe to avoid any last-minute rush. The CSIR UGC NET is held twice a year, in June and December, as a national-level examination. 

It will be conducted online across 225 test centers. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will take place in the last week of June to select eligible candidates for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor positions. Here is the PDF for CSIR NET Notification 2024.

Selection Process

CSIR UGC NET Selection Process 2024:

  1. Written Exam: First, candidates take a test to show what they know.
  2. Merit List: Those who do well in the exam make it onto a list based on their scores.
  3. Document Check: Finally, selected candidates need to show their documents to make sure everything is correct.

Eligibility Criteria

CSIR UGC NET Application Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit: As of July 1, 2024, the maximum age limit for candidates is 28 years. There are age relaxations available as per authority rules, mentioned in the notification.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed or appeared for a Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
  • Subject-specific Eligibility:

    • For the Chemical Science exam, candidates must hold an M.Sc or equivalent degree.
    • Integrated courses, B.E/B. Tech, B.Pharma, and MBBS degrees are also accepted for the Chemical Science exam.

To apply for CSIR NET 2024 online visit the site, fill out the form, pay the fee, and print the confirmation.

  • Visit the official CSIR NET website.
  • On the homepage, click on the link titled “Joint CSIR NET June 2024: Click Here to Register/Login”.
  • Click on the link and navigate to the “New Registration” tab.
  • A new page will open for login and identification for online submission of the Application Form.
  • Choose your identity proofs to create a User ID or Password.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and fill out the application form with accurate and complete details.
  • Pay the registration fee online through the provided payment gateway.
  • After successful payment, take a printout of the registration form for further reference and processing.
