The Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL) in Bangalore, a leading institute under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is seeking applications for the position of Research Associate (RA) from Indian nationals. Essential Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:

A PhD in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible to apply; however, the RA position will only be offered upon receipt of the degree or provisional certificate.

Alternatively, an ME/MTech in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Electronics Engineering with at least 3 years of research or design and development experience in industry or academia, along with at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research experience in EEG and EMG instrumentation development and analysis, neuromuscular computational models using AI/ML approaches, biomechanical musculoskeletal models, and bio-statistics.

Age Limit
The upper age limit for RA is 35 years as on the closing date of receipt of acplications. The upper age limit shall be relaxable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC as per Gort. of India rules.
Selection Procedure
- Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria will be allowed to appear for the interview.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience in the subject area.
- Applications will be screened by a designated Screening Committee, and shortlisted candidates will be notified about the interview date.
- Candidates must maintain an active and valid email ID throughout the selection process.
- Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
- Marks obtained in qualifying exams should be stated as a percentage. For those with a CGPA/CPI, conversion to percentage should be done according to the university/institute's norms, and supporting documents for this conversion must be provided.
- Depending on the number of applicants, a written test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for the interview.
- Interviews may extend to the following day, so candidates should plan accordingly and arrange for overnight accommodations if necessary.

- All qualifications must be from recognized universities or institutions approved by AICTE/UGC.
- The closing date for receiving applications is 09 September 2024.
- Candidates should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
- They need to download and complete the Application Form in the prescribed format (available on the 'What’s New' section of the website www.drdo.gov.in).
- The signed Application Form, along with certificates supporting the minimum educational qualification, matriculation certificate or birth certificate for date of birth, and a valid caste certificate (if applicable), should be scanned into a single PDF file.
- The file should be named as follows: SUBJECT CODE_YOUR NAME_DATE OF EMAIL and emailed to [email protected] before the closing date.
- Incomplete or partially filled applications will be rejected.
