The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is conducting the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Competitive Exam  2024 (HPAS) to fill various posts such as H.P Administrative Services, district controller, district welfare cum probation officer, district panchayat officer, assistant register, and tehsildar.

Important Dates

• Application Period: 05 April 2024 to 2 May 2024
• Exam Date: 30th June 2024
• Admit Card Release: Expected in the 3rd or 4th weeks of June 2024

Exam Overview

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination:

• Two papers: General Studies and Aptitude Test
• Multiple-choice questions
• Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deduction for each incorrect answer
• Total Questions: 200 (100 per paper)
• Duration: 2 hours per paper

Mains Examination:

• Consists of 8 papers
• Includes compulsory papers like English, Hindi, and Essays, along with General Studies papers and optional subject papers
• Total Marks: 900
• Duration: 3 hours per paper

Details of Admit Card

• Release: 7 to 10 days before the exam
• Contains the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, exam center, and timing
• Candidates need to carry a passport-size photo for identity verification

How to Download

• Visit the official website.
• Navigate to the "Download Admit Card" section
• Enter required details
• Admit card will be displayed, download, and take a printout for future reference.
