IOB Recruitment 2024

The "SNEHA" Trust, started by Indian Overseas Bank, operates 14 Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) in different districts of Tamil Nadu. These RSETIs help tackle unemployment by providing intensive training, motivation, and practical skills to young people to encourage self-employment. They also offer follow-up support to help them succeed, following guidelines from the Ministry of Rural Development.

The "SNEHA" Trust is now looking to hire people for the following positions on a contract basis,

Qualifications and Other Requirements

Age Range: 22-40 years is preferred for all positions.

Faculty

  • Must have a graduate or postgraduate degree (Science, Commerce, Arts). Preferred degrees include MSW, MA in Rural Development, MA in Sociology/Psychology, B.Sc. in Veterinary Science, Horticulture, Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing, or BA with B.Ed.
  • Should enjoy teaching and have good computer skills.
  • Must be excellent in the local language, with good communication skills in English and Hindi being a plus.
  • Typing skills in the local language are essential; typing in Hindi and English is an added advantage.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Office Assistant

  • Must have a graduate degree (BSW, BA, B.Com) with computer knowledge.
  • Basic accounting knowledge is preferred.
  • Must be fluent in the local language, with fluency in Hindi and English being an added advantage.
  • Should be proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel), Tally, and the Internet.
  • Typing skills in the local language are essential; typing in English is an added advantage.

Attender

  • Must have completed at least high school (Matriculate).
  • Ability to read and write the local language is preferred.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

  1. Written Test: This will assess general knowledge and computer skills.
  2. Personal Interview: This will evaluate communication ability, leadership qualities, attitude, problem-solving ability, and the ability to interact with trainees and take a developmental approach.
  3. Demonstration/Presentation: This will assess teaching skills and communication capability.

A common application form is available on our website www.iob.in. Applicants can download the form and apply for the respective post along with the required copies of supportive documents as mentioned in the application.

There is a fee of Rs. 200/- for the posts of Faculty and Office Assistant to cover the costs of the selection process, which includes the written test and interview. The fee should be credited/sent to the account mentioned in this PDF.
