Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (SDSC SHAR), serves as the Spaceport of India and is one of the leading centers of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the Department of Space, Government of India. The Centre offers world-class launch base infrastructure to support a variety of launch vehicle and satellite missions for purposes including remote sensing, communication, navigation, and scientific research.

Additionally, the Centre operates well-equipped multispecialty hospitals at its campuses in Sriharikota and Sullurpeta. Applications are invited in ONLINE mode for the following position:
Eligibility Criteria
Name of Post: Medical Officer ‘SD’ (ENT)
No. of vacancies: 01
Qualification:
- Essential: M.B.B.S. + MS/DNB in ENT, recognized and registered with the Medical Council of India, State Medical Council, or National Medical Commission.
- Desirable: Three years of surgical experience. M.B.B.S. + Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (Two years duration), recognized and registered with the Medical Council of India, State Medical Council, or National Medical Commission, with five years of surgical experience.
- Permanent Registration: Permanent registration with the State or National Medical Council is required.

Pay & Allowances
- Pay Scale: Level 11 in the Pay Matrix as per CCS (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016.
- Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA): 20% of Basic Pay.
- Other Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance will be provided according to current Central Government norms.
- Retirement Benefits: The selected candidate will be governed by the National Pension System.

Application Fee
- Non-refundable application fee: Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty only) per application.
- Exemptions: SC/ST/Women/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt from the fee.
- Payment methods: Online through Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- Payment deadline for application registration: 17:00 hrs on 06.09.2024.
- Extended payment option: Fee can be paid until 17:00 hrs on 07.09.2024 by selecting the ‘Make payment’ option on the online recruitment portal.
- Payment restrictions: No other payment methods are accepted.
- Responsibility: SDSC SHAR is not responsible for pending transactions, payment failures, or related issues.
- Recommendation: Candidates should complete their application and payment well before the final deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
Uploading of Documents
- Recent colour passport size photograph (not older than 6 months) in .jpg format (Size up to 40 KB & dimensions 110x140 pixels).
- Signature in .jpg format (Size up to 20 KB & dimensions 200x50 pixels).
- SSLC/SSC certificate in .pdf format.
- M.B.B.S and M.S/D.N.B certificates along with consolidated/yearwise marks sheets in .pdf format.
- Certificates in proof of registration with Medical Council and internship.
- Certificates in support of experience, if any.
Selection Process
- Selection Mode: Selection will be through an interview process.
- Minimum Qualifications: Meeting the prescribed qualifications does not guarantee an invitation to the interview.
- Initial Screening: Candidates will be initially screened based on their academic performance and other details provided in the online applications.
- Interview Location: Only candidates who pass the initial screening will be invited to the interview, which will take place in Sriharikota.
- Final Selection: The final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
- Merit Criteria: Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in the interview to be considered for empanelment, based on the order of merit.

- Online registration will be available on the SDSC SHAR website from 17.08.2024 (10:00 hours) to 06.09.2024 (17:00 hours).
- Interested and eligible candidates should visit the website at https://www.shar.gov.in or https://www.apps.shar.gov.in to register their applications within the specified time frame.
- After registration, applicants will receive an online Registration Number, which must be preserved for future reference. It is essential to provide a correct email ID and mobile number in the application.
- Applications must be submitted by the due date (06.09.2024). Fee payment can be completed online up to 17:00 hours on 07.09.2024.
