ITBP Recruitment 2024

Online applications are invited from eligible male Indian citizens (including subjects of Nepal or Bhutan) for the position of Constable (Driver) in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF). This is a Group 'C' Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) vacancy on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Selected candidates will be required to serve anywhere in India or abroad. Upon appointment, candidates will be governed by the ITBPF Act of 1992, the ITBPF Rules of 1994, and other applicable regulations.

Qualification 

• Must have completed Matriculation or 10th class from a recognized board or institution or an equivalent qualification.
• A valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License is required.

Pay Scale

• The position is classified at Level-3 in the Pay Matrix, with a salary range of ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 (as per 7th CPC).
• Additional benefits include:

• Special Compensatory Allowance (for service in specified border areas)
• Free accommodation or House Rent Allowance (HRA)
• Transport Allowance
• Leave Travel Concession
• Free medical facilities
• Any other allowances as per applicable rules and instructions.

Upon appointment, candidates will also be entitled to pension benefits under the "New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme," applicable to new entrants in Central Government Services since January 1, 2004.

Application Fee

Candidates from the General (UR), OBC, and EWS categories applying for this recruitment must pay an application fee of ₹100 (Rupees One Hundred Only) through the online payment gateway at recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Applications submitted with any other payment method will be rejected.

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempt from paying the application fee.

Selection Procedure

• Before the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standards Test (PST), candidates will undergo thorough identity verification, including biometric capture.
• Biometric identification may be verified at any stage of the recruitment process. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that the biometric machines can capture their fingerprint images.
• If the biometric machine is unable to capture the fingerprint due to factors like Mehndi, wax, etc., the candidate will not be permitted to participate in the examination. Failure in biometric verification at any stage will result in the cancellation of the candidature.
