JEE Main Counselling 2024
JEE Main Counselling 2024 is a process where students who passed the JEE Main exam can apply for seats in engineering and other technical courses at different colleges in India. JEE refers to the term Joint Entrance Examination. There are two main types of counselling:
JoSAA Counselling
CSAB Counselling
JoSAA conducts six rounds of seat allocation for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical colleges. After JoSAA finishes its rounds, CSAB conducts special rounds to fill any remaining seats in NITs, IIITs, and other participating colleges (but not IITs).
JEE Main 2024 JoSAA Counselling Eligibility:
Students must have passed JEE Main or JEE Advanced.
JEE Main 2024 CSAB Counselling Eligibility:
Students who did not attend JoSAA counselling.
During counselling, students can choose their preferred colleges and courses based on their JEE Main scores. They can also change or confirm their choices and pay fees to secure their seats.

Fee Details
The seat acceptance fee should be paid online. These are all the fee details.
SC/ST/SC-PwD/ST-PwD/GEN-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD Categories: The seat acceptance fee is INR 20,000.
GEN/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS Category Candidates: The seat acceptance fee is INR 45,000.
For NIT+System (Partial Admission)
SC/ST/SC-PwD/ST-PwD/GEN-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD: INR 20,000
GEN/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS Category Candidates: INR 40,000
Candidates whose categories changed from SC/ST to GEN or from PwD to Non-PwD during online document verification: INR 60,000
Counselling Procedure
Go to the official site of JoSAA to register, click here to visit josaa.nic.in
Enter the JEE Main 2024 application number, password, and security pin.
Agree to the terms and complete the registration form online.
Choose preferred colleges and courses and lock your choices to confirm.
Seats are allotted based on JEE Main/JEE Advanced 2024 rankings.
Mock seat allocations occur in two rounds.
You have to confirm your seats by paying fees.
Use Net Banking or e-Challan for payment.
Then you have to verify your original Documents.
Visit the assigned college and pay the remaining tuition fee.
Documents Required
Personal details documents: Aadhar, Voter ID, or Driving License.
Academic details documents: Class X and XII marksheets, JEE Main scorecard, and admit card.
Caste/PH Certificate, if applicable.
Proof of seat acceptance fee payment and provisional seat allotment letter.
Three passport-size photographs.
