Jiwaji University Exam Process
Every student must take part in theory, practical (if applicable), and continuous comprehensive examination (CCE) / Internal assessment tests. The university or Central Board of Studies will decide how the internal assessment of CCE will be conducted.
For each theory paper and practical, 30 percent of the marks will be based on internal assessment / CCE. There will be two or three separate internal tests at the College / SOS level for each paper / practical, each worth the same marks, in every semester.
70 percent of the marks will come from the university's main semester examination for each theory paper and practical.
To pass the exam, a student must score at least 33% marks in the university theory and practical exams separately, and 30% in the CCE/Internal Assessment test conducted by the colleges/S.O.S.
Odd semester exams will usually be held in November / December, and even semester exams will be in May / June.
Jiwaji University
Jiwaji University (JU) is a well-known public university located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. It holds a top accreditation rating of NAAC A++. The university gets its name from Jivajirao Scindia of Gwalior. It was founded on May 23, 1964, and the campus's foundation stone was laid by Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the President of India, on December 11, 1964. Jiwaji University is fully recognized and accredited by the Government of India.
The standout department at Jiwaji University is the SOS Neuroscience, offering India's only Department of Biotechnology-sponsored neuroscience teaching program. Launched by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi, it collaborates on various projects with labs and research institutions like CSIR, ICMR, DBT, DST, DRDO, and UGC. Each year, it admits 10 students who receive a monthly DBT studentship of Rs. 5,000.
JU introduced an MBA course in Commerce in 1987. The School of Library and Information Science began in 1986, followed by the School of Earth Science in 1991. In 1986, a center for foreign languages offering diploma and certificate courses in English, French, German, and Russian was established. The Indira Gandhi Academy of Environment Education, focusing on interdisciplinary programs, started in 1989.
Additionally, a center for M. Phil Studies in Sociology and Political Science was set up in 1990. The Institute of Engineering, launched in 2000, has alumni employed in top MNCs like L&T Infotech, IBM, Patni, Accenture, Microsoft, and Google. These schools and centers are located near the central administrative block, fostering close ties between the university and its associated institutions.
