JoSAA Counselling 2024
JoSAA Counselling 2024 is the process through which students who have qualified in JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2024 can apply for admission to various engineering institutes in India, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutes.

Starting from June 10, 2024, candidates can register and fill in their choices of courses and institutes online on the JoSAA website. The counseling process will include five rounds of seat allocation based on candidates' preferences and the availability of seats.
This streamlined process helps students secure admission to top engineering colleges through a single platform.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must qualify for JEE Main 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024.
- For admission into IITs, candidates must have secured at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates) or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
- Candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2024 can participate in the seat allocation rounds for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
- Candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced 2024 can participate in the seat allocation rounds for IITs.
- Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum of five subjects.

- Two passport-size photographs (IITs) / Three passport-size photographs (NITs, IIITs, GFTIs)
- Candidate undertaking
- Valid photo identity card
- Original JEE Advanced Admit Card 2024 (IITs) / JEE Main Admit Card 2024 (NITs, IIITs, GFTIs)
- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
- Date of birth proof (10th Standard Mark Sheet)
- Class 12th (or equivalent) mark sheet and pass certificate
- Medical certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Certificate for PwD (if applicable)
- Passport (for foreign nationals) or OCI Certificate or PIO Card (if applicable)
- DS Certificate (if applicable)
- Registration cum locked choices for seat allotment

Choice Filling for JoSAA 2024:
- Register on the JoSAA website using JEE Main/Advanced credentials.
- Verify and update contact details if needed.
- Review the available choices of engineering streams and institutions.
- Select preferred academic programs in order of priority.
- Fill in as many choices as possible based on rank and eligibility.
- Ensure to save and lock choices before the deadline.
- Double-check all entered choices to avoid mistakes.
- The system will automatically save choices not locked by the deadline.
Counselling Procedure
- Registration: Candidates register on the JoSAA website using their JEE Main or JEE Advanced credentials.
- Choice Filling: Candidates select their preferred engineering streams and institutions in order of priority.
- Choice Locking: After filling choices, candidates must lock them within the specified deadline.
- Seat Allocation: JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allocation based on candidates' choices and merit.
- Document Verification: Candidates need to verify their documents at the reporting center after seat allocation.
- Reporting to Institute: Finally, candidates report to the allocated institute to complete the admission process.

- Look for the "JoSAA Counselling Registration" link and click on it.
- Enter your JEE Main 2024/JEE Advanced 2024 application number and password.
- Verify and update your contact details, if necessary.
- Review all entered information carefully.
- Submit the registration form.
- After registration, fill in your choices of academic programs and institutions.
- Lock your choices before the specified deadline.
- Ensure to download and keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
