Educational Qualification

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old as of 01-07-2024, meaning they should be born on or after 02-07-1994 and on or before 01-07-2003.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:

  • OBC Applicants: Age limit relaxed by 3 years.
  • SC/ST Applicants, Ex-servicemen, Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers: Age limit relaxed by up to 5 years.
  • PWBD Applicants: Age limit relaxed by 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹44,500 per month in the Grade 'A' scale, which ranges from ₹44,500 – ₹50,000 (after 4 increments) – ₹54,500 – ₹62,450 (after 7 increments) – ₹74,450 – ₹77,250 (after 4 increments) – ₹85,850 – ₹89,150 (after 1 increment) – ₹89,150 (after 17 years). In addition to the basic pay, they will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance, according to the prevailing rules. Currently, the initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately ₹1,00,000.

Selection Procedure

  • Qualifying Section: Includes tests on Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and Decision Making.
  • Merit Section: Focuses on General Awareness, Economic and Social Issues (with an emphasis on Rural India), and Agriculture & Rural Development (specifically concerning Rural India).
  • Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Mains exam based solely on their scores in the Merit section.
  • The maximum ratio for qualifying to the Main Examination is 1:25.
  • The maximum ratio for the interview stage is 1:3.
  • These ratios may be adjusted at NABARD’s discretion.
  • Candidates who achieve the required ranks, as determined by NABARD, will be invited to the Main Examination and Interview.
  • A penalty of 1/4th of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer in both Phase-I and Phase-II.
  • Cut-offs may be applied in two stages: (i) Based on individual test scores (ii) Based on the total score
  • Vacancies are allocated by discipline, and merit lists for each stage will be prepared accordingly.

For NABARD Employees:

  • All NABARD employees meeting the educational qualification criteria are eligible to apply. They must pay the application/intimation charges as specified. The fees will be reimbursed upon submission of the fee receipt, provided the staff candidate meets the eligibility criteria. Staff status will be verified during the interview.

Signature Requirements: Do not use CAPITAL LETTERS for the signature.

Handwritten Declaration Text: “I......................(Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” This declaration must be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English. Visually impaired candidates may get the text typed, sign with their thumb impression, and upload it.

Payment Preparation: Ensure necessary details/documents are ready for online payment of the application fee/intimation charges.
