NID Assam Recruitment 2024

The National Institute of Design Assam (NID Assam) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Visiting Medical Officer. This vacancy is open to candidates with an MBBS degree, valid registration with a medical council, and a minimum of three years of experience in government or reputable private hospitals. Retired medical professionals are also encouraged to apply. Although an MD in Medicine is desirable, it is not a requirement. Responsibilities for this role include treating patients, verifying medical bills, maintaining health records, issuing medical certificates, and managing medical emergencies.

The position is located in Jorhat, Assam, with an upper age limit of 50 years, although age relaxation may be considered for deserving candidates. Qualification for NID Assam Recruitment 2024

  • MBBS (with valid medical council registration) from recognized Institute/ College approved by Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.
  • A minimum experience of 3 years working with Government Hospital/reputed and recognised Private Hospitals is mandatory.
  • Retired medical practitioners (from reputed Govt./ Private hospitals/ Organisations) may apply.
  • Desirable Qualification / Experience: M.D. [Medicine] (with valid medical council registration) from a Government recognized Institute / Hospital / Organization affiliated with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
  • Job Description: To examine & treat patients. Verification of medical bills received as submitted by the institute administration and confirming the eligibility as per extant rules. Maintenance of health records of employees & students, Issue of Medical and Fitness certificates, verifying pre-employment medical reports, handling medical emergencies at any time of the day, provide First-Aid treatment in case of accidents, follow up treatment with hospitals where students, employees or their officially approved dependents are referred/ admitted. Any other duties as assigned from time to time
