Applications are now being accepted online through the OSSSC website www.osssc.gov.in for the recruitment of 2,629 district cadre teaching positions in Government schools under the ST & SC Development and M & BCW Departments. The vacancies are distributed by district, with specific positions and reservation details provided in the recruitment notice.

Educational Qualification
1. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) - Arts:
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Arts/Commerce or Shastri (Sanskrit)
- Marks Requirement: 45% for SEBC/SC/ST/PwD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen, 50% for others
- Education: B.Ed or 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed or 4-year integrated B.A. B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution
- Test: Must have passed OSSTET
2. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) - Science (PCM):
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Science/B.Tech/BE with two school subjects
- Marks Requirement: 45% for SEBC/SC/ST/PwD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen, 50% for others
- Education: B.Ed or 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed or 4-year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution
- Test: Must have passed OSSTET

3. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) - Science (CBZ):
- Degree: Same as TGT-Science (PCM) but with Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or Biotechnology
4. Hindi Teacher:

- Degree: Bachelor’s with Hindi as a subject
- Marks Requirement: 45% for SEBC/SC/ST/PwD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen, 50% for others
- Additional Qualifications: Hindi Shikshan Parangat, B.H.Ed., or B.Ed. in Hindi
- Test: Must have passed OSSTET
5. Sanskrit Teacher:
- Degree: Bachelor’s with Sanskrit as a subject
- Marks Requirement: 45% for SEBC/SC/ST/PwD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen, 50% for others
- Additional Qualifications: Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) or equivalent
- Test: Must have passed OSSTET

6. Physical Education Teacher (PET):
- Education: +2 or equivalent with C.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed.
- Test: Must have passed OSSTET
7. Sevak/Sevika and Tribal Language Teacher:

- Education: +2 Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent with CT/D.I.E.T training
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in the applicable tribal language
- Test: Must have passed OTET
Salary Details
1. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT):
- Posts: Arts, Science (PCM), Science (CBZ), Hindi Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher
- Scale of Pay: ₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400
- Pay Matrix Level: 09, Cell-01
2. Physical Education Teacher (PET), Sevak/Sevika, and Tribal Language Teachers:
- Tribal Languages: Soura, Kuvi, Kui, Oram, Munda/Mundari, Sadri, Bhuyan, Ho, Santali, Juang, Desia, Gadaba, Kisan, Koya, Bonda
- Scale of Pay: ₹23,600 - ₹74,800
- Pay Matrix Level: 06, Cell-01

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years as of January 1, 2024.
- Maximum Age: 38 years as of January 1, 2024.
- Age Verification: Date of birth must be as recorded in the HSC certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent certificate from a recognized Board/Council/Indian University.
Selection Procedure
- Written Test: - The Written Test shall be held in all Districts. The date of Written Test will be notified later.
- Tribal Language Skill Test: - The applicants who will qualify the Written Test for Tribal language Teacher, they will appear the Tribal Language Skill Test to assess the oral tribal language efficiency in pedagogic transaction which will be held within two months after the Written Test and will be of qualifying in nature only.
- The date, time and venue of the Written Test will be intimated to the eligible candidates through the admission letters to be issued online in due course from a specific date to be notified in the said website later.
- The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at regular intervals and also keep track of different notices to be published by the Commission to know about the detailed programme of the examination.
Last Date to Apply
The deadline for receiving online applications in response to this advertisement is October 10, 2024. After this date, the application system will be disabled, and no further applications will be accepted. Incomplete or paper applications received after the deadline will be rejected. Candidates are advised to submit their applications well before the last date to avoid last-minute issues.
