Punjab National Bank (PNB) is hiring for several Manager positions in 2024. PNB is offering these jobs to people who have specific skills and experience in finance and cyber security. There are 15 positions for Manager-Forex, 5 for Manager-Cyber Security, and 5 for Senior Manager-Cyber Security.

Salary 

The salary for PNB Specialist Officers (SO) depends on the grade/scale of the position. 

  • Junior Management Grade Scale I (JMGS I): 

The starting basic salary is around Rs. 36,000 per month. Along with the basic salary, there are several allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and others. These allowances can add up to a significant amount, making the total salary more attractive.

  • Middle Management Grade Scale II (MMGS II):

For this grade, the starting basic salary is approximately Rs. 48,000 per month. Similar to JMGS I, there are various allowances provided which can significantly increase the overall monthly pay.

  • Middle Management Grade Scale III (MMGS III): 

The starting basic salary for this grade is around Rs. 64,000 per month. With the addition of DA, HRA, and other allowances, the total salary package becomes quite competitive.

Qualification

To apply for the Specialist Officer (SO) position at PNB, you need to meet certain educational qualifications:

  • Officer-Credit:
    You must have a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. This means you should have completed all the levels of CA and be officially recognized as a CA.

  • Manager-Forex:
    For this position, you need a full-time MBA or a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in Finance or International Business. This qualification should be from a recognized institution approved by government bodies or AICTE/UGC.

  • Manager-Cyber Security and Senior Manager-Cyber Security:
    You should have a full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics and Communications Engineering. Alternatively, a full-time MCA degree is also acceptable. Your degree should be from a recognized institution approved by government bodies or AICTE/UGC.

Selection Process

The selection process for PNB Specialist Officers includes two main stages:

Written Exam

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Duration: 120 minutes

  • Sections:

    1. Part I: General sections like Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude.

    2. Part II: Professional Knowledge specific to the job role.

  • Total Questions: 150

  • Total Marks: 200

  • Marking Scheme:

    1. Part I: Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and each wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks.

    2. Part II: Each correct answer gives 2 marks, and each wrong answer deducts 0.5 marks.

Personal Interview

  • Mode: In-person

  • Marks: 50

  • Only those who pass the written exam are invited for the personal interview. The final selection is based on the combined performance in the written exam and the interview.
