Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on a contractual basis. There are two vacancies available: one unreserved and one for Other Scheduled Caste (SC). The role offers fixed hourly remuneration and will be based at the Reserve Bank Staff College, located at No. 359, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai – 600 018.
Qualification
Educational Qualification: The applicant must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university in the allopathic system of medicine, approved by the Medical Council of India.
Postgraduate Degree: Candidates with a postgraduate degree in General Medicine are also eligible to apply.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner is required.
Proximity: The applicant must have their own dispensary or residence within a radius of 10-15 km from the Reserve Bank Staff College dispensary at the specified location.
Pay Scale
Hourly Rate: ₹1000 per hour for the duration of the contract, which is three years.
Conveyance Expense: Out of the total monthly remuneration, ₹1000 will be designated as conveyance expenses.
Mobile Charges: Reimbursement of mobile charges at a rate of ₹1000 per month.
Selection Procedure
Interview Venue: The Reserve Bank Staff College, Reserve Bank of India, Chennai will conduct interviews for the selection of two Bank’s Medical Consultants (BMCs) on a contractual basis, with fixed hourly remuneration. Candidates must attend the interview at the following address: No. 359, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai 600018.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on interviews of eligible candidates. The College reserves the right to increase the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interviews. The decision of the College in this regard is final. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview invitation. The College will not engage in correspondence with applicants who are deemed ineligible.
Medical Tests: Shortlisted candidates will undergo medical tests as per the prescribed norms before their services are engaged as Bank’s Medical Consultants. The costs of these medical tests will be the responsibility of the applicants.
