The Sports Authority of India (SAI) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, located at Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003. SAI is seeking applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Manager (Athlete Relations) on a contract basis. Initially, the contract will be for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of extension annually, up to a maximum of 5 years (2+1+1+1).

Position with Vacancies
- The number of vacancies mentioned is approximate, and SAI retains the discretion to appoint Managers (Athlete Relations) based on actual operational requirements.
- The appointed candidates will be stationed in the TOPS Division, New Delhi, and at various centers where SAI initiatives are active.
- SAI plans to utilize the extended panel of waitlisted candidates to fill any future anticipated vacancies for a duration of 1 year.
- However, it should be noted that SAI reserves the right to cancel this panel at its discretion without providing any specific justification.
Essential Qualification & Experience
- Candidates must possess a master's degree (2 years) or master's degree (1 year) from any foreign university in a relevant subject such as Sports Management, or technical qualifications like B. Tech or MBA in a relevant field.
- Alternatively, candidates with equivalent qualifications in a relevant field must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in roles such as relationship manager, sports management, operations, events, etc.
- Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor's degree must have at least 3 years of experience in the aforementioned fields, acquired after completing their essential qualification.
Desirable Qualification
- Candidates with a Post Graduate Diploma (2 Years) specializing in Sports Management from a recognized university are preferred.
Desirable Experience
- Ideal candidates should have experience in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, PSU, or Private Sector organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. An understanding of results and competition formats in Olympic sports is advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have participated in national and international levels in Olympic Sports Disciplines.

Age Limit
- Candidates applying for the position should not exceed 32 years of age as of the closing date of submission of applications.
- It is important to note that only the Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will be accepted.
- Requests to change this date thereafter will not be considered or granted.
- This ensures that applicants meet the specified age criteria as per the guidelines set by the Sports Authority of India, and that the documented Date of Birth is the definitive record for determining eligibility based on age.
Salary Details
- The remuneration for the position of Manager (Athlete Relations) will initially be fixed at Rs. 50,000 per month, with annual increments of up to a maximum of 7% possible, contingent upon performance evaluations conducted by the reporting officer and the reviewing committee.
- The pay range for this role spans from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, allowing for potential growth in monthly earnings after annual increments.
- Regarding taxes, Income Tax or any other applicable taxes will be deducted at source as per prevailing rules. SAI will issue TDS or Service Tax Certificates accordingly.
- However, the position does not include additional allowances such as TA/DA for joining or completing assignments, nor does it provide facilities like DA, accommodation, residential phone, conveyance/transport, personal staff, medical reimbursement, HRA, or LTC.
- Extension of the contract beyond the initial period will depend on the continuous performance evaluation of the selected candidates. Annual increments up to 7% will be determined based on these periodic performance reviews.
