SPSC Recruitment 2024
Applications are invited from eligible local candidates for the position of Librarian at Sikkim Government Pharmacy College. This temporary-regular post is in Academic Level 10 of the Pay Matrix (UGC Scale) under the Health and Family Welfare Department and will be filled through Direct Recruitment. Interested candidates should submit their applications online through the Commission's website at www.spsc.sikkim.gov.in.
Minimum Educational Qualification
A Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional qualification, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale where applicable), and a consistently good academic record. Additionally, the candidate must have knowledge of library computerization.
Age Limit
Candidates should be at least 21 years old and not older than 40 years as of 31/07/2024, in accordance with Notification No: M(3)/(55)/GEN/DOP/Pt.III dated 03/07/2019.
Documents Required
- Sikkim Subject Certificate: The candidate must possess either a Sikkim Subject Certificate or a Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority as per relevant State Government orders.
- Local Employment Card: The candidate should have a valid Local Employment Card issued by the appropriate authority of the Government of Sikkim.
- Marital Status Certificate: Female candidates must provide a Marital Status Certificate. For married female candidates, the Certificate of Identification (COI) or Sikkim Subject Certificate (SSC) of the husband should also be enclosed.
- No Objection Certificate: Employed candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate from their current Head of Department.
Application Fee
Application fee amounting to Rs 500/- only may be paid online through Net Banking or credit and debit card, (Visa/MasterCard). The amount once deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted against any other purpose.
Selection Process
- Those candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the scrutiny of documents in the ratio fixed by the Commission. Short listed candidates are required to submit attested Photocopies of all relevant documents on the dates specified by the Commission.
- Admission to all the stages of examination for which candidates are admitted by the Commission viz. Written Examination shall be purely provisional and subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
- If, on verification at any stage of the examination process, it is found that candidates do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the post shall be cancelled by the Commission without notice.

- Candidates are directed to bring a Photo Identity proof like (Aadhaar Card, Voters Card, Driving License) along with valid e-Admit cards in the examination centre for proof of identity
