Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024

Online applications are invited from Indian citizens who meet the essential qualifications and eligibility criteria as of August 1, 2024. The recruitment is for preparing a panel to fill 80 vacancies for the position of Junior Court Attendant (Cooking Knowing). This role is classified in Level 3 of the Pay Matrix with a basic pay of ₹21,700 plus applicable allowances as per the rules. The approximate gross salary, including HRA and other allowances, is ₹46,210 per month.

Qualification and Experience

  • Xth standard certificate from any Board or Institute recognized by the Government.
  • Minimum one year full-time diploma in cooking or culinary arts from a recognized Institute.
  • Note: Ex-servicemen who lack the one-year full-time diploma but possess a trade or competency certificate in cooking or catering from a Competent Authority are also eligible to apply.
  • Experience: Three years of cooking experience in a reputable hotel, restaurant, government department, or undertaking.

Age requirement

  • Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age as of August 1, 2024.
  • Age relaxation will be provided as per Government rules to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen/Widows/Divorcees/ Judicially separated women who are not remarried, and dependents of Freedom Fighters.
  • Employees of the Supreme Court who have completed three years of regular service in the Registry are exempt from this age limit.
  • However, no age relaxation will be granted to candidates employed in other government departments.
  • Reservation: Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Physically Challenged, and Ex-Servicemen will follow the Government of India's rules and notifications for positions with a corresponding pay scale to the Junior Court Attendant (cooking knowing) post.
  • Reservation for dependents of Freedom Fighters will be according to orders issued by the Chief Justice of India.

Method of Selection

The selection process will consist of a written test, a practical trade skill test, and an interview.

  • Written Test: General Knowledge (Objective Type, Multiple Choice) - 30 marks, Cooking/Culinary Arts (Objective Type) - 70 marks
  • Practical Trade Skill Test: Cooking Skills (including hygiene) - 70 marks
  • Interview: 30 marks
  • Total: 200 marks

The final selection list will be based on the marks obtained by candidates in the objective-type written test, practical trade skill test, and interview. Please note that inclusion in the panel does not guarantee appointment to the position of Junior Court Attendant (cooking knowing).

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 400. A reduced fee of Rs. 200 is applicable for SC/ST/Physically Challenged/ Ex-Servicemen/ Dependents of Freedom Fighters/ Widows/Divorcees/ Judicially separated women who are not remarried.

Registration of application

  • Eligible candidates are required to apply online for which the link will provided through Supreme Court website i.e., www. sci.gov.in.
  • The applications will be accepted through online registration only which will start on 23.08.2024.
  • The last date for receipt of applications is 12.09.2024 at 24.00 hrs.
  • The candidate will be required to upload the scanned copy of his/her photograph and signature on the online application form in accordance with the instructions displayed on the link provided for the purpose.
  • The candidate is required to fill up the required data in the application and make payment of fee online in accordance with the instructions displayed on the link provided for the purpose.
  • Candidates should ensure that the particulars filled in the online application form are correct in all respects before final submission of application form. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn or modified.
  • After successful completion of online application form, candidate will be able to preview his/her duly submitted application.
  • Candidate is advised to get a printout/screen shot of the filled up application for his/her record.
  • The candidate should retain his/her Application number carefully for generation of admit card from the link to be provided on the website of Supreme Court of India and for any other information regarding prescribed Tests/ Interview.
