TUEE 2024 Exam Pattern

The TUEE 2024 exam pattern consists of a two-hour duration for candidates to complete the test. Questions are in a multiple-choice format, with each question carrying 1 mark and a penalty of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.

For departments under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the question paper comprises 60 multiple-choice questions along with descriptive questions worth 40 marks. PhD programs under the same school feature 40 MCQs and descriptive questions worth 60 marks.

The MCQs in the paper are divided into 4 sections. This format aims to assess candidates' understanding across various subject areas, allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively within the allocated time frame.

TUEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Here is the list of TUEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria: 

Integrated M.Sc. Programs

  • M.Sc. Chemistry: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
  • Physics: Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at the 10+2 level.
  • Integrated M.Sc.: Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
  • M.Sc. Mathematics: Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Statistics at the 10+2 level.

M.A. Programs

  • MA Cultural Science: Bachelor's degree with at least second class in Major subject or 45% marks without Major.
  • Communication for Development: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks.
  • MA in Social Work: Graduate in any discipline with 45% marks in major.
  • MA in Education: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks.
  • MA in English: Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks in major/honours in English.
  • MA in Linguistics and Language Technology: B.A. with honours in Linguistics / English / any allied subject with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • MA in Linguistics and Endangered Languages: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks in Major or 50% marks without Major.
  • MA in Hindi: Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in Hindi or Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks.
  • Mass Communication and Journalism: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks in Major/ Honours.
  • MA in Sociology: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks in Sociology major/honours or in any subject offered as major/honours.

M.Com Program

  • M.Com: B. Com . degree with a minimum of 50% marks in major/honours.

M.Sc. Programs

  • M.Sc. Chemistry: Bachelor’s degree with major/honours in Chemistry subject with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • M.Sc. Maths: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks in major/honours, either Mathematics or Statistics.
  • M.Sc. Physics: B.Sc. degree with minimum of 50% marks in major/honours in Physics.
  • M. Sc . in Environmental Science: B.Sc. degree in Physical/Biological/ Earth and Environmental Sciences as major/ honours with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Molecular Biology and Biotechnology: Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, MBBS or BDS with a minimum of 55% marks.

M.T.T.M. Program

  • Master of Tourism and Travel Management: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks in major/honours.

L.L.M Program

  • Master’s of Law (LLM): Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks.
