UP Police Constable Exam Date 2024

UPPRPB conducted the written examination on February 17 and 18, 2024, across the state. However, the government had to cancel the exam due to several reports of paper leaks during the test. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRB) has issued a statement about a fake notice circulating online that claims the UP Police Constable Exam will be held on June 29 and June 30, 2024.

The UPPRB clarified that these dates are not official and that they haven't announced any exam dates yet. Candidates should ignore any unofficial information and wait for the official announcement from the Board.

Government Notice

After the government announced that the exam would be held within six months, several false notifications about the exam schedule have been spreading on social media. In a post on the social media platform X, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) stated, "A fake notification about the UP Police constable recruitment exam 2023 is circulating on social media, claiming the exam dates are June 29th and 30th.

UPPRPB wants to make it clear that this information is fake, and no such dates have been announced by the board. Any official information about the exam will only be published on our website and official Twitter handle. Legal action is being taken against those spreading false information.

The notice also mentions that those responsible for spreading false information will face legal consequences. Authorities are committed to holding these individuals accountable to prevent the spread of misinformation and protect the integrity of the recruitment process.

Exam Pattern

The exam which was held on February had the following pattern.

  • The exam had a total of 150 questions.
  • Each question was worth 2 marks.
  • The exam was divided into four sections: General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability Test, and Mental Aptitude/Intelligence/Reasoning.
  • The exam duration was 120 minutes (2 hours).
  • There was a negative marking of 0.5 for each incorrect answer.

Selection Process

1. Physical Test

  • Candidates who pass the written test move to the Physical Test.
  • This is the second stage where candidates' physical abilities are tested to ensure they are fit for the job.

2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

  • The first part of the Physical Test involves measuring height, chest, and weight.
