1. The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a mysterious spot in the North Atlantic where planes and ships disappeared secretly. This started in the half of the 20th century.

Although there are various theories about this place, they are not considered to be true. Many planes and ships travel through the area safely every day. There is no such evidence to support the idea that something unusual is happening there.

2. The Crooked Forest

The Crooked Forest, also known as Krzywy Las, is a famous place in Poland. It is very close to a village called Nowe Czarnowo, near Gryfino town. There are 400 pine trees in that forest that were planted around 1930.

There is unique about them because they all bend sharply to the north side near the land, then grow to straighten up after going sideways for a bit. People thought that it was created by someone like this way but nobody knows the truth behind it.

Some people think the trees were bent on purpose to make curved wood. But we still don't know the reason why they are like that. It is still a mystery.

3. Blood Falls

Blood Falls is a peculiar spot in Antarctica where water ruined with iron oxide flows from Taylor Glacier onto the ice of West Lake Bonney. The water is very salty and it consists of a high amount of iron.

Sometimes, it excretes out from cracks in the ice. The salty water comes from a pool under the glacier, unknown beneath a layer of ice. It was discovered in 1911 by geologist Thomas Griffith Taylor. People at the beginning believed that red algae caused the water's red hue.

After the research, it is identified to be, that the color is due to the presence of iron oxide in the water. So that the water appears to be red.

4. Area 51

Area 51 is a super-secret place which is owned by the United States Air Force (USAF) in Nevada, USA. It is officially known as Homey Airport or Groom Lake.

The Air Force doesn't reveal what is happening there, but they say it's for training. Most people believe it is where they test new planes and weapons. The Air Force and CIA took charge of the site in 1955 to check the Lockheed U-2 aircraft.

Because it's so reserved, Area 51 is famous for conspiracy theories and stories about UFOs. It's not officially declared as a secret, but everything there is Top Secret. Area 51 is about 83 miles from Las Vegas.

5. The Nazca Lines

The Nazca Lines are big drawings in the ground found in the Nazca Desert which is in Peru. Between 500 BC and 500 AD, people made the Nazca Lines by scratching away rocks and dirt to show the different colors of soil underneath.

There are two main groups of lines made at various times. Some lines go direct, while others look like animals and plants. Together, they stretch for over 1,300 kilometers and cover about 50 square kilometers.

They were made to represent religious reasons. The lines are best seen from above and some are hundreds of meters long. They've lasted a huge time due to the dry weather, but they are starting to wear away.
