95th Academy Awards 

On March 12, 2023, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) will hold the 95th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, to recognize films released in 2022. The show will be produced by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss, with Weiss serving as the director, and it will be televised in the United States by ABC. The event will be hosted by late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel for the third time, following his appearances at the 89th and 90th ceremonies in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

It's awards season again, and after the recent Grammy Awards, movie enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the most significant night in the global film industry - the Oscars. In light of the unprecedented events that occurred during last year's ceremony, including Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on stage, a crisis team will be in place this year to ensure everything runs smoothly. Unfortunately, as a consequence of his actions, Will Smith has been banned from the Academy Awards for a decade. The nominees for the Academy Awards were unveiled in late January, with The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once among the films that received numerous nods. The Oscars ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 12, with red-carpet coverage expected to begin around 10 pm in the UK.

Academy Awards 2023 when and where to watch? 

• The 95th Oscars ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) and 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on March 12, 2022.
• The Oscars can be watched on Sky Cinema Oscars channel which is available through Sky or Now.
• Highlights from the ceremony will be shown on other channels and social media the next day.
• The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC and can be streamed online through the ABC app or website.
• However, viewers will need a cable subscription to access the live stream.
