In recent times, there are a lot of people are being killed or getting injured due to accidents. In addition to these events, the six-year-old girl's death following an accident at the Val Saint-Côme ski hill in the Lanaudière region, north of Montreal, is being looked into by the Quebec Provincial Police.
The girl was using a T-bar lift to climb the hill at 9:30 a.m., the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirmed on Monday morning. When she arrived at the hospital in critical condition, she was later confirmed dead.

When the child was taken to the hospital, her condition was considered to be serious. On Sunday, the ski resort ended its nighttime operations.
As of Monday afternoon, the specifics of what happened were unknown. The cause wasn't a mechanical failure, according to the ski resort's management in Val-St-Côme.
According to François Gagnon, president, and CEO of the resort, an internal inquiry has been started in addition to the police investigation.
About 65 kilometers to the northwest of Joliette is the ski resort of Val-St-Côme.

After being involved in the accident, a six-year-old child died.
The investigation is still ongoing this morning since "we don't know exactly if she falls, if the T-bar was broken or something," according to SQ spokesperson Geneviève Bruno.
To try to determine precisely what occurred, the forensics are present alongside the investigators.
François Gagnon, president, and chief executive officer of the ski resort, stated to reporters on Monday that the entire Val Saint-Côme family is in mourning.
Gagnon stated, "All of our sympathies are with the family and friends," and he added that a support system had been set up right away for staff members who had been affected by the events of Sunday.

The minister in charge of the Lanaudière region, Caroline Proulx, expressed her condolences to the girl's family and promised that the investigation would "shine a light on this unfortunate tragedy."
According to a representative for the ski resort who talked to Radio-Canada, "there is no evidence that a mechanical failure was involved" based on preliminary investigations.
On Sunday, the mountain was closed for evening skiing; however, it reopened on Monday at 9 a.m. The accident-related lift will stay closed for the time being.
