In the game Afterimage, Resting Town offers various quests and shops to players after they defeat the Three Question Mark Boss. One NPC in the town is Alice, a Conjurer who starts the Delicacy Quest by asking the player to find two ingredients for her Mushroom Family Recipe in the Field of Geo zone.
Another quest, the Farewell Quest, requires the player to obtain Candles and Ritual Flowers from Nicole in Resting Town and travel to the Resting Path. At the southeast of the zone, the player needs to go above the Confluence and place the items on a grave to complete the quest and unlock the Condolence Trophy/Achievement.
To start the Mourning Quest, players must head east past the Confluence and find a little girl standing by an archway. However, when humans were created, their relentless ambition led to a prolonged war against the Goliaths. The conflict culminated in a massive explosion, called "The Razing," which destroyed the Holy Grounds of mankind and brought an end to the age of humanity.
With the divine order broken, the survivors of the conflict were severed from the Well of Mankind and were unable to reincarnate. They formed settlements and lived in isolation from one another. Years later, mystic forces suddenly assault the human settlements, and Renee, a young girl, and student of Aros, is the only survivor of the attack on her village. She sets out on a journey to recover her lost memories and find her mentor, not realizing that her actions will set into motion a series of events that will determine the fate of the new world.
