Return 8: Deerfest

  1. Explore Bright Falls: After a cutscene, you find yourself in a bright but creepy Bright Falls. Look for a copy of "Return" held by a cardboard cutout of Alan Wake. Taking the book triggers a cutscene. Run away from the crazed townspeople until another cutscene triggers.

  2. Reach the Attic: After another cutscene outside Valhalla Nursing Home, the goal is to reach the attic. Direct routes are locked, so enter the Wellness Center and follow visions of Alice. Run through encounters with Casey and the Dark Presence until you reach Ahti. Unlock the door with a swirl, approach the typewriter, activate the Echo, and trigger a cutscene.

Return 9: Come Home

  1. Examine the Case Board: After the cutscene, place evidence onto the Case Board and profile Other Saga. Thoroughly examine objects for evidence. Use a flashlight to burn away darkness and find more evidence. Gradually turn the tables against Saga's fears by placing positive evidence until a new profiling option appears.

  2. Answer the Phone: Saga ends up in the Dark Place. Follow the sound of a ringing phone to a familiar phone booth. After a cutscene, follow humming to find the missing Sheriff. Talk to him to advance the story. The page he gives helps you find the entrance to Parliament Tower.

  3. Parliament Tower Journey: Find the construction yard with a door featuring a familiar Alan Wake line. Proceed through the subway station, dealing with Shadows. Grab the Clicker and a mysterious glowing bullet near a shoebox. Answer the phone, return to the Mind Place, and profile Alan extensively.

Head back to the subway station, trigger a live-action cutscene in the water near the fountain, and that's it.

Alan Wake 2

"Alan Wake 2" is a survival horror video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games Publishing. It serves as a sequel to the original "Alan Wake" and continues the story of Alan Wake, a best-selling thriller novelist. In this gripping narrative, Alan Wake finds himself trapped in an alternate dimension for 13 years.

To escape this nightmarish realm, he resorts to an unconventional method: writing a horror story featuring an FBI agent named Saga Anderson. The game's storyline is bound to be intense and psychologically engaging, delving deep into the horror genre with Remedy Entertainment's signature storytelling prowess. Players can expect a mix of psychological thrills, supernatural elements, and challenging puzzles.

"Alan Wake 2" promises to offer a compelling and immersive gaming experience, blending narrative-driven gameplay with eerie atmospheres and intense psychological horror. It has generated significant excitement among fans of the original title and horror gaming enthusiasts, looking forward to unraveling its mysteries and confronting the unknown.

Alan Wake 2 Gameplay

"Alan Wake 2" introduces a shift in gameplay compared to its predecessor. It's now a survival horror game played from a third-person perspective. Players alternate between controlling the titular character, Alan Wake, and the FBI agent Saga Anderson in two separate single-player stories, which can be played in any order. The game offers the flexibility to choose the order of these stories, but certain sequences are fixed.

Both Alan and Saga explore eerie environments, facing off against various supernatural enemies. Their primary tools are firearms and a flashlight. Focusing the flashlight weakens enemies, making them susceptible to firearm attacks. However, this tactic drains the flashlight's battery, requiring strategic resource management.

A distinctive addition is the "Mind Place," a special pause feature when playing as Saga. In this serene mental realm, players piece together the main mystery by connecting clues on a pin board and profiling characters. This detective element adds depth to the gameplay.

Players also uncover manuscript pages that provide foreshadowing for the story. Notably, "Alan Wake 2" introduces a dialogue tree system, offering more player choice and interaction. This new gameplay direction promises to deliver an immersive and engaging survival horror experience.
