Alkaline Trio Announce New Album
Alkaline Trio has excited fans by announcing their upcoming album, "Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs," scheduled for release on January 26th, 2024, via Rise Records. This album marks their return after a six-year hiatus since their last studio release in 2018. The album's title was inspired by vocalist Matt Skiba's childhood memories of his mother's tales from her time as an emergency room nurse, where exceptionally busy nights were referred to as 'blood, hair, and eyeballs.'
The band decided to create this record differently by crafting songs together in the same room and recording them on two-inch tape using an iconic console, which influenced the album's unique sound.
In conjunction with the album announcement, Alkaline Trio is embarking on a 2024 North American tour, beginning in February and concluding in March. They've welcomed a new drummer, Atom Willard, who will join them on tour.
Additionally, the album's lead single, "Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs," offers fans a glimpse into their fresh approach, combining stripped-back arrangements with intense punk energy, inviting listeners to participate actively during the chorus. With pre-orders underway and tickets available for their tour, Alkaline Trio's comeback is eagerly anticipated by their dedicated fan base.
