Another Eden

"Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space" is a role-playing video game that's free to play. It's made by Wright Flyer Studios. What makes this game special is the collaboration of two well-known creators, Masato Kato, the writer, and Yasunori Mitsuda, who composed the music. Both worked on other popular role-playing games like Xenogears and the Chrono series.

The game has a time travel theme, letting players explore different moments in time. It first came out in Japan for Android and iOS devices in April 2017. Later, in 2019, it became available worldwide. A version for Microsoft Windows was released in 2021, and there's also one in development for Nintendo Switch. The game's story, music, and the ability to travel through time make it unique and interesting for players who enjoy role-playing games.

Another Eden Heroes Tier List November 2023

In Another Eden, heroes are grouped into different categories called tiers: SS, S, A, and B. The most powerful heroes are in the SS tier, while the less strong ones are in the B tier. This tier list gives an idea of which heroes are currently considered the best. It's important to note that this ranking might change often because the game creators, Wright Flyer Studios, frequently add new content and characters. This means a hero's ranking can shift with each update. However, players have the freedom to use any hero they like and can upgrade them to become strong in this Japanese role-playing game (JRPG).

Another Eden Gameplay

"Another Eden" offers gameplay that's different from typical mobile games. Despite being on the GREE platform, it's not big on social interactions or daily log-in rewards that many other games focus on. It's free to play but has in-app purchases for in-game items. The game features an extensive main story with 84 chapters, and it keeps growing.

In the game, players get to time travel through three main periods: the past, present, and future. The gameplay mostly feels like a side-scrolling Japanese role-playing game (JRPG), but at times, it opens up for full 3D movement. You control a character, moving them between locations and interacting with non-player characters to progress through the story.

When it comes to battles, they're turn-based. You confront enemy characters in these battles. As you move along the game, new characters join your party and get stronger naturally. But if you want more characters, you can spend "Chronos Stones," which are in-game items. These stones can be earned while playing or bought through in-app purchases. They let you access the "Star Dreaming Hall," where you can use a gacha-style system to get a wide variety of characters.

Another Eden Development

"Another Eden" began its development journey in early 2015, with the first announcement made during the Tokyo Game Show in September of that year. This game was envisioned by Masato Kato, known for his work on games like Chrono Cross, Xenogears, and Chrono Trigger. The project was undertaken by Wright Flyer Studios for iOS and Android devices on the GREE, Inc. platform. Kato led the direction and writing of the game's story and script, collaborating with GREE producer Daisuke Takasaki, who aimed to bring a more traditional JRPG experience to mobile devices, something he felt was lacking in the platform's offerings.

Creating comfortable free-range movement on button-less mobile devices was a priority during development. The game's graphics were deliberately kept two-dimensional to suit its vast scope and large-scale story. Similar to the Chrono series, "Another Eden" revolves around time travel, incorporating a unique "day and night" theme. The game's soundtrack, mainly composed by Shunsuke Tsuchiya and Mariam Abounnasr, features contributions from Yasunori Mitsuda, known for his work on Xenogears and the Chrono series.

Originally planned for a mid-2016 release, the game was launched on April 12, 2017. Before its release, a closed beta test was conducted, and post-launch, it received substantial promotional support from GREE. The English version was released in stages in 2019. Later, a Microsoft Windows port arrived in 2021, with a Nintendo Switch version in development, expanding the game's reach to various platforms.
