The making of Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore was led by Seth "Dopply" Fulkerson, working under his company Seedy Eye Software. It all started in late 2020 when Fulkerson gained attention for creating unofficial remakes of Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon for Linux and Windows. However, to avoid any issues with Nintendo, he removed the remakes just two days after releasing them.
In 2020, Fulkerson expanded his efforts, forming Seedy Eye Software, with Limited Run Games onboard as the publisher. The big announcement came on July 12, 2023, when Limited Run Games revealed Arzette to the world.
