Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Wiki

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a new video game set in the vast and immersive world of the Avatar film series. Created by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, the game hit the shelves on December 7, 2023, making its debut on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Serving as the second installment in the video game adaptations of the Avatar franchise, following the release of Avatar: The Game in 2009, Frontiers of Pandora received a mix of reviews from critics upon its launch.

The game's development was overseen by Massive Entertainment, with Magnus Jansén and Ditte Deenfeldt as directors. Pinar Toprak took on the role of composer, contributing to the game's overall audio experience. Using the Snowdrop engine, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora offers players an open-world action-adventure, playable in both single-player and multiplayer modes. The diverse platform availability ensures that players on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S can all explore the Pandora universe in this latest gaming experience.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Mounts

In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you've got two main rideable creatures known as mounts: the Ikran and the Direhorse. These guys become available as you move through the game's main story - first, you'll unlock the Ikran and later on, you'll get the Direhorse. To snag these creatures, you've got specific missions to complete: "Take Flight" for the Ikran (it's the 11th mission) and "The Wandering Clan" for the Direhorse (the 14th mission).

Once you've finished the "Take Flight" mission, which might take a few hours, you'll have the chance to jazz up your Ikran. It becomes your trusty buddy, swooping in whenever you need it in the right areas. Now, about the Direhorse - it's a bit different. It's not a permanent mount. You'll encounter it during the "The Wandering Clan" mission in the Upper Plains area. But when you dismount and head off for another mission, the Direhorse will mosey back into the Plains. However, after you've completed "The Wandering Clan" mission, any Direhorse you encounter becomes mountable.

As of now, these two mounts are all you've got in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. But hey, there might be more exciting stuff on the horizon with possible DLC releases. Keep an eye out on our Games Hub for updates and more tips just like this one!

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Development

In March 2017, Massive Entertainment made a big reveal: they were working on a game inspired by James Cameron's Avatar. They announced this as their next major project, setting the stage for something exciting. Fast forward to E3 2021, where they dropped a trailer for the game, officially named Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

This game isn't just a retelling of the movie story; it's got its own tale to tell within the vast Avatar universe. They've sprinkled in bits that might connect to the upcoming Avatar 3 movie, suggesting that what happens in the game might have a say in what goes down in the movies yet to come. It's like they're weaving this game into the fabric of the entire Avatar series, keeping us on the edge of our seats for both the game and the future films!
